So after the whole debacle with the Grey owner on CL, I started fiddling around with looking for more online. Purely for entertainment sake and maybe if I came across something close enough I could convince my hubby to be open to adopting. Well I came across this add, not sure where it is though. And this owner is sincerely looking for a good home for this pair. Here is the part of the add that caught my attention. Sounds too good to be true IMO.



Two years old Congo/African Grey parrots with their large main cage, medium sized bedtime cage, and a large play stand. They are very smart! They have started talking a few words and phrases already, and loves attention and being out of their cages. Also included are lots of toys and a floor standing Full Spectrum UV light with brand new bulb. Their diet is mostly pellets, but I also give them some cooked food and vegetables mostly in the morning and evening. They are wonderful birds that loves to play and can be rather comical. They also love to be held and cuddled for about 30 minutes before their bedtime.They are all vaccinated and we have already registered them. We need caring and loving people to buy. You must have the attention to give these birds.

I forgot to add that all of this including the birds was for $380.00.

You're right, sounds way too good to be true... it sounds like a scam, to me.. careful!

I have no intentions of contacting them. Even for $380, it would probably end up costing a fortune to ship everything. We know about shipping first hand, two large dogs from Japan to here, that cost us like $3000.00, I could only imagine what it would be for the birds, plus everything that comes with them. I also saw another add on there for free to good home, and it included cage. My kids are in bed so I have nothing else to do but look and dream.

haha i look at adds all the time! sometimes i see a good one and i really get my hopes up - only to have them dashed by my parents. LOL! . before i was really into birds once, me and my dad beleived a scamm.. until they sent us the email asking us for all out personal info so they could ship us the pair of greys! haha, yeah right!

Yeah my husband wouldn't know a scam if it said scam! At least when it came to anything but tools and cars.

THAT is a scam. Red flags are..."Registered", "Vaccinated", and the grammer isn't what it should be. Rare for a pair to both be TWO and be tame. Greys are Rarely "cuddly". Oh and the price for all that. NOT
