Covering a cage with a large playtop

Any suggestions doing this. I have a large basically square Kings cage in which the entire top is the playtop with the toy hanging thing right in the middle and taller than myself. This makes hanging a sheet very odd...even a king size is not covering it all. Has anyone had this problem? If so what are you solutions? Thanks, Emily

How about using the same sheet, sew a casing on one long edge and run a drawstring through it. You can then pull the drawstring enough to grab the outer edge of the playtop and hang down from that. This makes it more of a wrap than a throw over cover. You might need to cut something off the bottom if it drags on the floor, or use a single sheet.

With mine I wrap the sheet around the outside, leaving the top exposed and secure it with a heavy clip thats used for papers. Not a small silver one but a big black and silver one that you pinch together to open and release to close.

That sounds like something I could handle.

Why not just cut a hole in the middle and drape it on top of the cage where most of the playgym will appear, but making it small enough so that the corners of your cage will hold it up and around the cage walls.

I have a few heavy magnet clips around the top of my cage. Alex can't get to them so they stay there. I just have to clip the sheet around instead over the top. Works well for me.

best thing to clip them to the cage with is plain old wooden clothspins. not the ones with the wire, just the wood.
magnets are not good to be around the birds...
