Question Introducing my CAG to my parent's TAG, suggestions?

So, come the end of December I will be bringing Ziggy and the budgies to my parent's house for a stay that will last about 6-7 months. I'll be having a dry dock session and a lot of underway time coming up, and with my husband on a different ship, I figured my parents would be the best people do help me out. They have a 21 year old TAG by the name of Sebastian (he (and I mean she) ended up laying eggs about 2-3 years ago, but you can't change someone's name after 18 years, right? ) who hasn't been around any other birds since we've had her. Well, we had a cockatiel for about 18 months, but their relationship was really bad and had to give Flounder to a different home. Anyways, does anyone have any tips for my parents and I for introducing my baby Ziggy to Sebastian? We're a little worried that she might be mean to him. We do realize that AGs are territorial, and it's going to be tough on Ziggy adjusting without me (such a momma's boy) . I'm just going to have enough time to fly home, spend a day with him there and fly back to post, so I guess this is more so I can let my parents know what they need to do. Any insight will be great. I'm going to miss my baby!

Well, most greys are not social, and will not get along. There are a few, but being Sebastian has been a solo girl for some time, she's not likely to like a youngin invading her territory. The most important thing is to keep them seperated, and under supervision.
This is not said to scare you, but to make sure that your parents understand its in the birds nature to act like that. you can have the world most friendliest grey turn nutzo with jealousy.
If it is any help, you are welcome to have your parents join on here, or I can give you my number for your mom to call with questions should she not be able to get ahold of you.
I relize she does have experience with greys, but just so she knows, two can be like having two young kids who wanna rumble alot. Drives us moms insane!!!

So with that said, it can be done successfully, and I knwo lots of people with multiple greys, we just have to watch them a bit more closely then other species.

Thanks! I might just have my mum and dad join on here. I know my mum will enjoy it. She had two AGs before Sebastian, but never more than one at a time. We were talking about it yesterday, and we realize that they're going to have to be separated. But who knows, maybe Sebastian may turn over a new feather and not be nasty to Ziggy like she was to little Flounder. I'm sure introducing the two will be much like introducing a new cat to the family's cat or a new dog...which we've done several times...*lol* Thanks for the tip! :o) I may ask for more the closer we get to me having to bring him home.
