ok well........I kinda got tipped off from some friends that a lady that they know near us had her 4 y/o male TAG for sale.....she had been a bird lady in the past but was at the start of giving her life to foster kids and didn't think she would have enough time to adequately raise this fellah.....So anyways ...i thought...what the heck....I have heard great things from Savvy and Nancy both about their TAG's.....so we went to check him out...I Know, I Know...this would make 7 and when I get my Macaw 8 (;-)).....but if I didn't think I had adequate means and space to give them good homes I would never, EVER even think about getting any more birds....So to make a long story short.....We went to visit him today and just fell in love with him....he was talking and singing the whole time we were there.....and on the whole ride home < woopsie...did I just say that out loud> YES! I got him! It felt right so I got him..... I think it will take a bit for him to get used to us, but he was stepping up and everything for us...and when we got him home he seems to feel somewhat comfortable as he is talking and singing up a storm and letting us give him beak scritches....:-)


ok...so thats all I have for now as I am going to welcome our new Friend and Family member to our home....I will give you more updates as they become available :-):-):-):-)


BTW his name is "Dickens"......and well....ummmm ....here he is.....

I am delighted for you and little Dickens. As you probably surmized, I find the TAGs to be my first choice in greys. As a matter of fact, my Radar has been following me around the house all day today. Sometimes I'm afraid I forget to spend enough time with her. She's so well-behaved and a delightful little thing. Fortunately, she always knows where to find me when she needs some TLC. I still think they are the MOST underrated parrot of all. What they bring to the plate is just awesome. You have made a very wise choice.
