Cross Post - All those owned by greys

I've recently come across a theory for **visually sexing** african greys so was wondering if anyone who's owned by one could get a side on picture of it's head and email it to me, along with the birds age, if it's been DNA or surgically sexed and whether you know for sure if it's male or female.

The kind of picture I need is modelled perfectly by a members bird of a different group in her signature picture:

If you could send them to ratty41@netscape.net

Also if you could pass this round any other groups you visit that'd be great, it'd give me more to compare :D

I'd think that it may be a male... however, I am not sure... it's someone else who is doing the comparisons... I crossposted the post from another forum for Kalvin... The origional post is not mine what-so-ever...

Verdict

So what is the verdict with all the pics and the study of visual sexing?
I am interested to know what conclusions you came too.

It was a cross-post done written by someone else... I guess I'll have to go ask the writer about it!

Frankly, the easier way to predict sex is by placing your thumb between the legs. The hens have a wider pelvis. The males legs seem to come together closer and more quickly from the pelvis.
