Bringing Smokey Home Today

Today is the big day. Finally in a couple of hours he'll be home.

I'm so excited to be a cag owner.


The breeder has had him off the formula for about a week now. She says he is eating the Zupreem like crazy.

Curralup~ I'm so excited for you!! I remember when I first got Summer home. I was so afraid to pick her up. LOL! It's crazy how things change. Good luck and post pictures as soon as you get them. Summer is also crazy about the Zupreem pellets. She also LOVES fresh green beans and pineapples. The crazy thing is, is that she dosesn't like anything COLD. I have to take the chill off of EVERYTHING she eats. If I don't, she'll take a bite and shake her head real quick as if to say, "brrrrr" LOL! Well, again, congratulations and I wish you many happy years of being a new PARROnT!!

Got him home finally and he is already eating, preening, and flapping his wings so far. He hasn't made any noises yet except on the ride home. Right now he just wants to eat. I like to see him eat I was worried about that since he is freshly weaned. I have a scale so I'll be able to watch him closely on his weight gain. He was 403 grams this morning. So far so good. I'll play with him later but right now I just want him to eat.

Congrats on your new Grey. He looks great and healthy in the pictures. They like to be clowns and I'm sure you will enjoy him. Keeping watch on his weight is important and should be done in the morning before he eats.

I know how excited you were, and I am very happy for you.

I have that ball for my guys, but they only play with it supervised, and not in the cage. They are strong enough to break it to get the bell out. The bell can get caught on thier toe or beak..so please keep an eye on her....
