Yeah definately!!!Its healthier for you too, especially with a grey. At first spray the water around the bird til he gets used too it and its not like a blast of water hitting him.As soon as they get used to it they love it!

Oh yes, it most certainly is! I shower/bathe my birds every other day or mist them down with a warm water bottle. With Greys, Cockatoo, and all other dusty birds, showers/baths help keep their dust to a minimum.

Actually it would be UNhealthy to not give your bird a regular shower, even if it's just misting with a spray bottle. It doesn't have to be done daily but it should be done at least once a week.

Pita gets a spray bath once a day. Here in Colorado it's very dry, so that helps him, also when the are molting it makes the new pin feathers less irritating and easier for them to preen the sheath off. Also they enjoy it.

I also take Pita in the shower with me, the steam is good for them. And he will jump in the sink every so often and bath himself. But a wet birdy is a happy birdy.....and cute to.

Get a spray bottle or mister and just let the mist fall down on him/her.

My ekkie has gotten so excited about showering two times a day that any time my fiance or I walk towards the bathroom and forget to tell her it's NOT shower time, she'll fly in after us and knock on the door with her beak.

Human soap and shampoo are drying to birdies, so if you take them into the shower, try not to get them all sudsy when you're washing!
