update on my new grey "Smokie" 5 months old

Happy Birthday, Smokie!!!

Smokey can laugh, say his name, whistle, sound like a chicken, say hello,
do the cluck cluck like we do with our tongue. Say whatcha doing?
Give the kisses sound. He can say Pretty Girl. He just said a long "Hello".
Emily my amazon is no help. Emily taught him the Nextel Beep yes the Nextel Beep now I have two Nextel Beeping Birds. It's getting pretty crazy in my house.

We have a new game. Its called grey tag. I don't know if he taught us or we taught him but its at the bottom of the cage. We will give him a head scratchy, then he'll run to the opposite end of the cage wait a minute and then he'll jump, run back as soon as he can to come to our finger sticking through the cage and then he'll lower his head for another head scratchy. Today he waited, teased us and watched to see our reaction.
Then all of a sudden he ran as fast as he could to the side my finger was and lowered his head for another round. Its funny to watch him run.

Right now he is making numerous noises including saying long hellos.
Then just now he went AAAAHHHHHH. Just going on 5 months and he can say so many different sayings and noises. It took him only a week for the cluck cluck sound I taught him. It was a bunch of cluck clucks but I narrowed it down to just two. When he does the two cluck clucks it makes me proud that he got that from me.

I take him out several times a day for exercise. They are not long visits just enough to reward him for a great grey he is. This way he doesn't get stressed out being in his cage all the time. I do have to work full time and its hard so I give him all the attention I can but not too much because I don't want to turn him into a plucker.

I was told to treat him the same way I would treat him 6 months from now. I have been living up to that promise.
6 months heck the rest of my life!!!!

Adorable, Sandy!

Smokey is miles ahead of Tuki on the sounds and talking...but Tuki is definitely trying to catch up.

Sounds like Smokey is making good progress with talking for his age. Keep working with him and he will have a huge vocabulary!

This morning he came up with a new one. The one thing I can't stand is the whistler on our tea kettle. Guess who knows it.

ZZZZHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEE!!!! GEEEZZZ.

Smokie just said WWWWWHHHHHHOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAA!! He is sounding stuff like crazy now. His Hellos are getting more pronounced. Its like he figured out the code or something like that on how to talk. Its really neat to hear him come out with new sayings. Last night I was watching TV and he just sat on my lap watching too. He really loves to be out of his cage. He knows to behave himself pretty good. Timing his poop is getting easier for me.
I think Smokey is a girl. The pelvic bones are way way apart. When do they start to lay eggs? It doesn't matter to me what sex Smokey is because he/she is the greatest anyway.
