Timmy seems to be changing

Atleast his attitude towards me. I dont know if this had something to do with it or not. The other day I was in his room with Zoey on my arm. Anyway since that day Timmy seems to be nicer towards me. Im not holding him as of yet. However he is moving closer towards me now when I am in the room with him. He seems to hang on my every word. He takes food from my hand without biting as well as not rushing towards me to protect his bedroom (cage).

Of course its going to take time with Timmy. I really feel allowing Timmy to go at his own pace and not rushing him is winning him over.

For those out of the loop. Timmy is my 8yr old TAG that I recently got.

Zoey (CAG) is my baby-girl. I cannot leave the room without her yelling for me. She likes to walk around while on my arm, really loves my shoulder. However I dont allow her on my shoulder. She is a fast little girl though :)

BTW the place where I purchased Zoey from did a "show" cut on her wings. You all know thats a no no and at her age I doubt she was ever flighted in the first place. So I exercise her wings daily, by getting her on my fingers and she flaps her wings. She enjoys it and I feel it helps strengthen them. Once they grow back and she flys around, to get confidence in herself. We will discuss rather to have them clipped or not again. (the correct way)

It looks like Timmy is starting to trust you. Thats great.
That is interesting that he started after seeing you with Zoey.
Maybe he is thinking that if Zoey enjoy's you maybe he will as well.
Keep us posted on him his progress.

That is so grey't that he's showing some interest. You are totally correct to let him go at his own pace. He will let you know when he's ready.

Way to go....keep up the good work!!

I am so happy to read this about Timmy!!!
I had a feeling he would come around too. He sounds like my dog -- when Bailey sees me giving attention to any other dogs, he immediately shows everyone how much he loves me.

Zoey is a blessing on so many levels!

I have a question. What's a "show cut" and why is it a no-no? Btw, I'm glad your Timmy is getting more comfortable with you. It's such a nice feeling.

A "show" cut is where they cut the wings underneath only. Giving the appearance of no cut at all.

It's actually called a show-clip
