difference between TAG & CAG

Thanks Adamtron, I need to go see both birds and handle both. I am leaning towards the TAG because of it's size, I want a cage that can fit in the living room (eventually, at first we'd have to quartine him away from Doyle). Plus all the play gym stuff, we don't have a huge house.

I am picking my TAG up next week.
While I was researching I was torn between a CAG or a TAG.
I really liked the way the CAG looked better, but I had read so many things that pointed toward the TAG being a better match for our family.
When I went and saw the in person (I also had the luxury of having the CAG, and TAG right next to each other) The TAG was beautiful. The the one we ended up getting made in known that if I was buying a bird, he would be the one. Definately go take a look at them. When you are there you will know which one is right for you.
I have to warn you though. It's REALLY hard not to buy one the first time you interact with him. I was strong and lasted about a week after I met my bird before purchasin him.

LOL, I know my husband wants to wait about 6 months so we can save up some money for possible vet bills and such. I really want one though!!

TAGs aren't too much smaller than CAGs. In general, they're only about 2-4 inches smaller from head to tail. Sometimes, you can find small CAGs as well as big TAGs.

Both of very wonderful birds!! If I had the time and money, I'd have a house full of them.

Another reason why I need to go see one, lol. I thought they were more like a large conure or a little bigger.

I have 2 CAGS. I just love those bright red tails!! They too are laid back and they both have a very strange sense of humor. Belle has a new sentence. "Now what was that all about?" She said it this morning and yesterday morning. She was doing her "pay attention to me screech" I told her to knock it off. She asked me the new question. I don't know where she gets this stuff.

No matter which one you pick, CAG or TAG there will never be a dull moment in your house ever again!!!

I have my monster TAG....mmm you know I should measure Bella. She's around 300 grams too! And she's only a baby! But she's got the appitite to match hehe. :)
