Drill straight down thru it and drill a plastic small animal crock in the bottom. Run a long enough smooth round top screw all the way thru with a nut on the bottom. Wing nut makes it easier to remove and clean but also might make it easier for him to remove.
You should consider a playstand for him as well so he has some options instead of just that one perch all the time. Just a thought.

ahh okies
i have wanted to buy him a play stand for a long time

but all the ones i've seen is just way too big

our basement suit is sort of small
so space is the issue

and i hve thought of making one
but since he has feet issues it's giving me a hard time as i wanna use pvc

just worried he's fall or cant climb around on it

Know what? Ive been in your situation and your shower perch is a great Idea for now. Another thing that is small and works is attaching a good piece of either PVC or Java wood or something to the top of a Mic stand. You can move it anywhere and just set it on a piece of newspaper.
