Weight Fluctuations

Hi everyone,
Many of u may know that i am tryign t wean ajax (at his own pace)

i weight him every morning after his big poop
and his weight seems to fluctuate from 418-408 on some days and some days it's not so much

is this a normal weight fluctuation?

he is down to one night time feeding
and his weight has been 408-418 for 3 weeks or so now.

do u guys reccommend to keep giving it to him till he refuses? or reduce the amount being fed to him?

ajax is 9 months old now
and was suppose to be weaned when we bought him
but he wasn't

he is a happy little guy tho
he gets all excited when we walk into the room
even if we walk out for a min or two
he is being super vocal these days (pretty sure he's trying to talk to us)
he also has a way of telling us he wants to be picked up

he'll step side to side leaning forward and his wings spread a bit open

I jsut wanna know if this weight fluctuation of 10 grams is normal

and also shoudl i reduce the night feeding?

ahhhhhhh seems about normal. my guys also fluctuate about that much.
Any more then 5 % of the body weight, is means for concern if there is no real reason(fledging)

I would reduce the amount given at night, but keep it up till he refuses. It prob wont be much longer. Sydney was about 9 months when he stopped(he was just getting a few tastes at night)........He was just enjoyin his mommy birdy time. But thats just me. I am not a breeder. just a mom.

okie dokie
i'll keep an eye out on a 20 gram weight loss
that would be 5%

i fed him about 2/3 of what he normally gets tonite
baby bird formula and unsweetened apple sauce (i usually mix the formula with red palm oil or baby puree food

he seems to like that mixture
yes he really loves it when mommy and daddy feeds him
u can see his eyes with excitment and they always dialate and shrink back and forth during the whole them

(we got a night time routine)
handfeeding 20 mins b4 bed
then kisses good night from mommy and daddy
then whoever puts him to bed (cover his cage) suddles him for about 5 mins and int he cage he goes
