I'm going to be visiting this forum a lot more...

Well, I am going to be visiting this part of Bird Board a LOT more! You want to know why? Because I have an African Grey! A Congo African Grey!!! We brought him home today, and he is such a love! He let me pick him up, gave me kisses, and played with me. What a doll! He traveledso well too; he was so quiet, sitting on his swing (his favorite toy) and just looking around. When we got home, we had to set up his cage (it is so gib, you can't fit it through the door) and he sat there, playing and being so good the whole time! He was so perfect!
He is such a doll face, and although he is a little nippy right now, he is just wonderful! I don't think it has reallyhit me though, because I am still is a little bit of shock that he is mine now. But, the owners had such a strong confidence in me(which made me cry) that I would take good care of him.

I think Harley is in more shock that me . We came home, and she saw this moving thing, and must have thought "Oh my gosh, she didn't! I am supposed to be be the only fid!" I also think she is a little jelous of his cage, it is HUGE! That was the only problem, where would we put it? Well, we got it all set up, and I must say, he is taking it like a trouper! Gotta love greys

Sounds like all things are going well! I do suggest though to keep an eye on Harley to ensure that she doesn't start up any respiratory issues (especially runny nose or wheezing)... as if she does you may have to get rid of your grey. I know you have things set up in the hopes that this wont happen but you must be aware that it could.... so with that, I wish you the best of luck with your new grey!!! I know your are quite excited!

Congrats...but please take care having the two around each other. I lost my Aggie because her previous owners kept her in the same room with a too.
