Smile We found the one we wanted

Hey everybody. Thanks for the replies to my first post. Everything kind of went crazy around here after I made it. At the time we thought we were going to get a TAG in a few weeks, it was only 2 weeks old, but the breeder call and said that the baby had died because the heater messed up during the night. We were sad to hear that but thought that it was not meant to be right now. A couple of days later our vet called and gave us the number to a breeder he knows and now we are very happy with the new addition to our family. She is a 14 week old CAG named Tiki. She is very outgoing and vocal. Not loud but wants to be heard. She fits right into the family, 4 kids, 3 inside dauchands, 1 gerbil, 1 bearded dragon, and of course Mom and Dad. Once again thanks for the help and I'm sure I will be back for more advice. Higgins.

Congrats on your new addition. I love CAG's - my male is my love (besides my husband-lol).

Cngrats and welcome! I know it must have been a huge disapoinment hearing that your baby has died... I was so close to adopting a CAG twice and felt so upset when the owners had decided not to sell or found a different home. Then came Echo... He is the sweetest, smartest bird (no ofense to anybody else, but I am a little vain when it comes to my two ;) and I love hime to death! He is not really the cuddly type, but lets me give him scritches and cuddles more than anyone else. Even his previous owner couldn't do that.

Greys aren't loud, but I know what you mean by vocal! Echo is rightfully named, he really does echo everything he hears! A few days ago, I was having an awful day. The day before, I was mawled (sp?) by an eclectus and then my B&G macaw was NOT having a good day. Long story short, I was repeating bad bird to my mom, and Echo heard. Well, that is his new favorite word! He says it like he's mad too, "Baaaddd bird". It is eally cute, and even though it isn't my favorite phrase, it is still adorable! Enjoy your new baby and post pictures!!!

Thanks guys. Tiki is great. She is a lot more mobile now and loves to get on her play top. She has not figured out what to do when she gets there so she calls me to help her down. I have a question about bath time. Is there some kind of spray to use or do you just use water? Just so you know she does notttttttt like bath time. I will post pics asap.
