Toes Crazy CAG

Our CAG Jazzy has always been one to go after our toes. We thought she just liked watching us jump. But my wife read somewhere, where parrots actually are into toes.
As lately, Jazzy has become much better at not clamping down, and seems to get the concept of how she can hurt if not careful, we tried letting her catch our toes. She huddles over them like a mother hen and just lightly nibbles them. She really gets into it and I must say it does gets a little scary, but so far.....not a scratch.
So we conclude that toes may indeed be a parrot thing, though it doesnt seem to work with the dog's toes.??

Any other toe stories?

Yep we live with a CAG "Toe Mangler" and we even hum the theme to "Jaws" when he's on a Toe mission. My Amazon prefers fingers (lol).

Lately she has been good to just nibble

She used to be a biter. When she figured out I was about to leave on a business trip she would get me good. and then when I got back too.

We have been working on getting her to not clamp down, and she is much better these days. But the toe nibbling seems to be a preening thing I suspect.

our birds love toes too (wonder where that comes from)... valo has an almost unbelievable amount of patience to "eye" and "beak" my toes... for some reason, those little foot extensions are able to keep his attention longer than any other toy

Same here. I'm finding that letting Jazzy have my toes keeps her busy indefinitly.
I have still not been bitten either.

I'm fortunate! Winkie won't get on my feet even if I have socks on. The 1 time I PUT him onto my sock foot & he climbed up the length of me onto my shoulder.

Romeo & Bonita will nibble on my toes if one of them is on the bed with me. But Nalah is the only one that really likes / hates toes, sock, shoes. She will attack them. I have to wear shoes whenever she is out or else I will be bleeding. I have even felt her beak through my shoe. I have been through a few pairs of shoes cause of that beak. LOL Crystal
