New fid with pics

Hey Guys!!!

So, I have 2 new fids coming home around the same time - within this month, so 2 weeks or sooner. One of them is my dream bird a beautiful Congo African Grey. The sex is still undetermined as the breeder hasn't done a DNA test, but will be soon, I have been calling s/he a she for now though.

Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of her - she is the sweetest thing ever and loves to just lay in my arms. Please excuse the messy face, she just had a feeding before the pics were taken and she is a very messy eater By the way, she is now 11 weeks old.

She is adorable! I just want to snuggle her! A CAG is also my dream bird but I'm going to have a wait awhile on that. Congrats!

Those are some big scratches on your arm, they look like cat scratches! Are they from your new fid?

Thanks guys - she is a real doll and all she wanted to do was cuddle up in my arms. She really was a sweety, she would let me pat her and kiss her - when I talked to her she would make the cutest baby sounds. She even ate some apple from me.

About the scratches, yes they are pretty big, but the actually don't hurt at all. They are from the baby - her nails are super long as she hasn't gotten her first nail clipping yet and when I picked her up she squirmed a little and scratched me. I actually didn't even know I was scracted until later on when I looked down and saw my arm.

I remember the long nail days with Bella. I have a scar or two somewhere on my arms. I did the same as you with the visits to bond with my TAG and it is really worth it. I have such a sweet little girl because of it.
