African Grey Timneh Toys

Hi Everyone,

I have 4 months until my baby boy comes home::))))) I want to start now and make many different toys for him. I would love to hear your ideas on the different kinds of foraging toys I can make for him. Instructions and pictures would be super.

Thanks

Try Busyasbeavers bird toys on Ebay. Tina is a good person, puts alot of care into her toys and you can get 3 nice toys for 19.00

I get some stuff through Grey feather bird toys. They can be expensive with certain things, but if you sign up for the newsletter, they often send coupons out. They will also make custom stuff......which sometimes comes in handy with Greys if they dont like certain colors.

Anything that's shreddable is a must. Bella has one of the BP parrot purses that she still works on. I have always keep backup shreddables. She's got lots of GF toys, a Birdie Einstine Barrel-o-Fun, and a couple other BE toys....

Speaking of BP needs more shelled pine nuts for those toys. :)

My Grey likes the Bucket seen above also. His absolute favorite thing is a big bell I got off of greyfeathertoys.com and I got a long plastic chain to hang across his cage. He loves to swing and hang upside down and ring the bell. He has a fit if the chain ever comes loose! Too funny!
He has had this bell for a long time I add other toys and switch them out~ they bell stays though.

If you are a creative person you may like to get parts and make toys for your new faby. I have a crate full! It will also save you money. Just make sure they are all birdie safe products!

Best wishes to you and your new Bird~ Sammy and Marcy

The Cheepers site is a great one, but I'm kinda partial. I belong to their yahoo group and their sister site. The toys are very carefully thought out. They take great care in making sure the ideas are safe for the fids. I highly recommend it. It gets your juices flowing and you start thinking of ideas of your own. Making toys is actually quite addicting.
