Head scratching...

Well head scratching is something my grey loves. However, I think I am doing it wrong, or at least my grey thinks I am doing it wrong. Whenever I scratch his head, he acts like he is enjoying it. Then when I finish he goes ahead and scratches his head like I did it wrong. Do any of your greys do this also or am I just a bad scratcher?

I think it might be him putting his feathers back in place afterwards. . . the same way a cat will lick wherever you just finished petting it. My ekkie will scratch her feathers back into place if I don't smooth them back down after I'm done.
