Will this traumatize him?

OK, I know we can't predicted what will traumatize our birds or not. We are going on vacation for a week. My mom is going to watch our animals for us. She has watched the 2 dogs and my cockatiel for us b/f. She orginally wanted to watch them at our house but things happened and she can't. We will have to bring Roscoe to her house and all she has for him is a travel cage(she has a Goffin). She will have to work during the day. I'm just afraid that being in such small cage will affect him. She will take him out and such when she can. Also he has never traveled b/f(other than the vet). Should I bring him to her house a few times so he knows the place? I don't want to come home to a freaked out grey
