Talking Hey! CJ TALKS!!!!!!!!

Heh heh!- My wife had CJ out this evening and handed him a sunflower seed, and he blurted out "Thank You" it about startled her! she couldn't believe her ears, he usually has a bunch of different whistles and noises but he has never talked except last week he said hello, one thing I can tell you- she is NOT used to a bird (let alone any other animal) talking to her............LMB

LOL That's great news! I love when Izzy talks, though he practices a lot and sounds like a grumbly old man when he does lol.

Angry I just wish he would just let us touch him

He steps up real good now, eats out of our hands and he is very friendly when he is out- But.........he will not let any of us touch him in any way if we touch him then we get the vicious beak of death, it sux cause we want to cuddle with him and give him scriches and such, if I carefully try to duddle him in a towel or even without a towel he shakes and sort of shivers and grumbles like an old grumpy man, I just want him to trust us..........LMB

Greys are not known to be cuddly. Some dont like to be touched.
Even some of the most cuddliest babies turn out to be "dont touch me " birds.

time and patience......take it slow.....slower the better.....

My 8 yr old CAG is an amazing talker (the trick is getting him to shut up!). He calls me ma or mama, calls my daughter and other animals by name, can tell my 2 cats that look alike apart and often speaks appropriately. He is loving, has a great sense of humor and not aggressive, however, he has NEVER liked to be touched.
