Zazu wont come out of his cage!

My African Grey has been refusing to come out of his cage for about 3 weeks now. He used to be out almost everyday (except when he didn't want to). Anyone have any ideas how I can convince him he wants to come out?

During the mating season, my female ekkie becomes "anti-social" and will only come out if we promise a shower or are making her bean mash.

I wouldn't push him, and just leave the cage door open and let him come out at his own pace. Is everything else the same with him?

Did you change anthing in the room he is in? Sometimes that spooks them and they "hide" from it.
Perhaps put a play stand by his door and see if that will coax him out.

We had a birthday party once where some helium balloons were left afterwards floating in a far corner. Our CAG would not go anywhere near them, and you could tell she was worried if she could even see them at a distance.

We also found we had to hide the workout ball in our workout room.
Also Pumpkins were not her friend.

I'd check for something new it wants to avoid.
good luck

I'm going to basically echo what everyone else has said. Could be hiding because of something new or could be anti-social because of hormones. I've seen both occur with my parent's TAG, and my CAG will do it when there is something new. Good luck!! (just make sure you don't push)
