Most of you know I have two greys and one is an evil rescue "Charlie"now 10 from Texas. I didnt say anything earlier cause I didnt know how it all was going to work out.

Last month I found a hen in Ill "Buttons" age 12 for $400 but didnt have the money right then - then IRS checks came.

She was still available and "mostly" tame and very pretty. We drove Allllll day to get her. I didnt QT because she had essentially been in QT where she was (had been rescued, vet checked and in QT for a few months with no other birds) So I brought her right in and Charlie (who is afraid of anything) fell in love. Longer story short I put them up in a HUGE macaw size cage I found like new on CL for $50 ( I actually got two cages, like new $50 each) WOW! Hubby built a nest boot box cause we saw them mating already right in my LIVING ROOM <LOL!!!. Put the box on Sunday and she is already nesting and they are redecorating the box etc. She spent the last two nights in it. I cannot believe how fast this has happened - I was not planning on getting into grey breeding but Charlie refused to come around and I couldn't find any single food or treat he would take from my hand ...ever. He seems so open and happy now, busy busy. They are already bonded and feeding each other like crazy!

I dont know if we will have Congo babies or not but WOW, this stuff never happens this fast. So when you hear me say I have three greys this is why and why I have to sell my parrotlet breeders. Its crowded in here and taking up a ton of my time so I'm hoping these parrotlets can give someone else some joy for awhile. I'm not going to dump them by any means to just anyone and my friend doesnt do well with tiny birds plus I have babies in the nest to deal with first.

No matter what happens, Charlie and Buttons will stay together with me forever.
