CJ is a CLUTZ!!!!!!!!!

Our CJ is a clutz is there anything we can do? He is still technically a baby and I don't think he has any coordination whatsoever, and he lives in a large cage, and loves to be up high.

He could be climbing around, playing, etc... then all of a sudden PLUNK!!! right to athe bottom of his cage around a three foot drop every time! He hasn't really hurt himself but the last time he scratched himself under his right nostril and a little piece of skin got scratched off


I am thinking of putting a little catch net (like the ones that circus performers use) in his cage, but I am afraid that he may get tangled up in it. any advice would help.........LMB

Best thing to do is lower the perches till he learns how to hold on. If he is real bad with falling, line the bottom of his cage with towels and then papertowels on top(to poop and that he cant get his toenails caught)

he will learn in time...most babies go through this.

or u could use crumpled news paper and a bedsheet

when ajax was young we used to put this type of foam mat in his cage

it was cushiony and had a carpet over the foam
