The Foundation helps provide funding for Dr. Irene Pepperberg's work with African Grey's - Alex, Griffin, and Arthur aka ''Wart''. Contributions to the Foundation are used to pay for veterinary bills, supplies for the birds and the research (food, vitamins, laboratory equipment), for assistance in training and testing the parrots and for supplies needed to document the research (e.g., video and audiotapes).ALL Funds from federal grants have stopped. Great Event!!!!
This is going to be a great event. There will be some very interesting and educational speakers. There will also be some good food. The price of the ticket for the speakers ( which includes the food), is a great price. All the money benefits the Alex Foundation. Not only is Dr. Pepperberg's research finding how intellegent our birds are, it is also becomming a great tool in the teaching technigues used for autistic children.
