purring?

A few days ago I heard Willow make a cute noise that almost sounds like he's purring? I assume it means he is happy or content? I noticed he ussually does it while I scratch his head. Is this a common noise that greys or other birds do normally or did Willow just pick this up from somewhere? Either way, it's still cute!

Tiki does that... growling/purring. She is happy, happy, happy when she does it, and usually all puffed up and wagging her head like a baby. I love that sound! I can usually get her to do it on command, by petting her and making the sound myself..... I do it louder, then so does she, it's great!
