Hi all,

I have seen a few things about special lighting for birds. What type of lighting is this, what is it for, and it is a necessity?? under what circumstances is this light used??? any help would be appreciated.

I don't have any special lighting for my birds and i have never heard of birds needing a special light. All i do is take my bird outside on nice sunny days.

It is suggested to use full spectrum lighting. Some birds who don't receive enough natural light or receive low quality lighting may be poorly feathered, inactive, overweight and may fail to vocalize.
