i just dont want u to worry too much about mojo's grip

fiancee and i went through months of stress and worry... because he was on 2 different meds
and 2 different rounds of clavamox

etc etc

still waiting for the stupid vid to upload its taking ages
Yeah, I must admit that, despite lots of people telling me his grip will probably be fine, I'm still worried he's going to fall off something and hurt himself.
He'll be able to fly (no wing clipping will be happening to my Mojo! ) but still, can't help worrying!

Talking of flying, when do you think Ajax will be fully feathered and be able to fly? Still can't believe what that butcher did to his wings!

What about putting some of these in?

Corner Rest Shelves by Avian Adventures - Everything Birds

He can lean back and rest against it. My caique will do this on my hand...perch on my fingers and lean back against my hand and sort of rest against it. I am thinking of getting this for him as well.

That's a good idea! I wonder if they ship to the UK? Haven't got time to look now as I'm off to work in a minute. I'll do a Google for it later and see if I can find a UK retailer.

Babypiggy, thanks for posting the video!

My little Mojo is coming on in leaps and bounds!

Here he is having cuddles with Lesley's Son.

MOJO - a set on Flickr

Lesley says he already has the beginnings of his red tail feathers just coming through! She doesn't usually see this for a few days yet so he' obviously thriving!

Hope to go and see him again on Tuesday, this time I'll be taking my Son and Daughter (19 and 17) as they haven't seen Mojo in the flesh yet and we want him to be familiar with all of us before bringing him home.

Luckily we only live an hours drive away from Lesley so will be making lots of trips between now and September

i wouldn't use those shelves as it is grated
and may not be as good for his little feet

remember that they are prone to feet sores
as they don't have nails compared with a grey WITH nails

Ah right, that's worth knowing. I didn't realise they were more prone to sores.

Thank you!

Lesley has sent me some more photos! Mojo is now four weeks and four days old and he is looking very cute now!

He's the oldest and biggest of the chicks, on the right hand side of the photos.

Look at that cheeky little face!

And if you look closely (on the right again) you can just see his scarlet tail feathers coming through!

Will take some video of him tomorrow, can't wait to give him cuddles again! :)

Spent a lovely couple of hours with Mojo and his brothers/sisters

Oh he looks so different and it was only nine days ago I last saw him! The feathers are really coming through now and his neck muscles are much stronger.

Lesley sent off the mouth swabs for DNA testing yesterday so I'll soon know what Mojo is! Lesley has a feeling he is a she

I (of course1) took lots of photos which you can see HERE (more than one page) and I'm uploading video as I type. They'll take hours to upload no doubt but I'll check in the morning and will add them to Mojo's set Prior to that you'll find them on my main Flickr page.
