I have some new photos of Mojo! She's now very nearly six weeks old

In the most recent photos she is pictured with one of her Sisters, Stubbs. Mojo is furthest from the food bowl here...

Mojo and Stubbs are now in a cage but the two youngest are still in the brooder (?? is that what it's called??!).

Hi

Lesley is going to keep Stubbs and Shinda (the two chicks who sustained the worst damage to their feet) as she's concerned about them not going to someone who maybe couldn't look after them adequately with their disabilities.

I haven't added any further bits to the cage yet as we're waiting to see which type of perch Mojo favours. So it's still as seen here...

Lesley sent me an email last week to let me know Mojo has now started climbing and doesn't appear to be having any trouble gripping the cage bars which is great! She is also just beginning to try to step onto low perches so it shouldn't be long until we know how she'll cope with it.

More photos to come tomorrow!

What a fun afternoon we've had! Went to see Mojo with Mum and Nats (my Daughter).

Spent a couple of hours playing with her, holding her, watching her and her siblings and chatting with Lesley.

Of the three babies who were injured by the Dad, Shinda was the worst affected in terms of how much of her feet she has left. Shinda will definitely be staying with Lesley.

Mojo was the least affected, the damage to her toes is minimal with just the very tips missing.

Stubbs was in between. Lesley was going to keep her but in the last week or so has been so surprised by how well she's coping that she's decided she will be able to sell her.

Due to her being a special needs parrot she naturally will only let her go to the right home, someone who's willing to go the extra mile to accommodate her disability.

Well! Mojo and Stubbs are inseparable! Of all the chicks from that clutch these two have spent the longest together, Mojo hatched on the 29th May, Stubbs on the 30th.

As they are sisters and already know each other very well they will be able to share the big cage (bear in mind they'll be spending far more time out of it than in).

They are both extremely well socialised with humans but now they will also have the pleasure of being with another of their own kind. I wasn't planning on leaving Mojo for hours on end anyway but it's given me an immense feeling of happiness knowing that even when she is alone she will now have Stubbs for company ;)

Mojo

Mojo and Stubbs. I can't tell you which is which unless I can see their feet! Basically Mojo has less damage to her toes than Stubbs has to hers.

Lots more photos HERE plus video clips to come.

Yes, Mojo is certainly a good weight, a nice solid little girl! Stubbs is too, both lovely, healthy girls!

I just cannot wait to bring them both home!
