Talking Hello! New guy, going to pick up "Lola" soon!

I am adopting "Lola" within the next couple weeks! (oh, hello, my name is Ben, and I live in the South West Chicago Suburbs.. forgot the introduction part 'cause I am just EXCITED! read about me HERE )

Lola's current owner holds a full-time job and is putting herself through college, and realizes this is taking it's toll on the Grey.. so she is looking to re-home Lola to someone who can give her the attention she needs... ME!

I am very excited.. Lola is 3 yrs old, already has a good vocabulary, mimics EVERYTHING and all-in-all seems like a very easy-going bird (she loves going on "trips" apparently.. her owner said Lola will sometimes spend weekends with her grandma, friends, and other loved ones and it doesn't even phase her - Lola loves visiting people, and so it appears she will adjust well).

I have attached a couple pictures of the birdy-bird :) I'll keep you updated on her transition, quarantine, etc.. :icon_mrgr

Lola has really adjusted suprisingly well.. last night we had dinner together (my fiance didn't mind!)

She had some Bannanas and I had chicken nuggets.. she also had fun making a mess (have bannana on the beak? Just wipe it on Ben's leg, or on his couch! hahahahaha

anyway, even though she isn't a "morning person" she hammed up for my camera phone this morning

oh, I am so happy for you guys!! I'm new to this site too... I'm so glad that you found this site before getting your bird. I wish I would have known of it when we brought our bird home. We were so lost!!! ...(and often times I still am ) I hope you guys have a wonderful life together. We have always had pets, but I tell ya....this bird is the absolute best thing that ever walked in this door. I adore him.

Good luck!!

Emma
