I have not seen a difference in my friends birds. Each individual baby and how they are handled makes a difference and I seem to prefer babies who are pulled earlier than later (ie, just as the eyes are starting to open) so the first thing they see is humans. To me, the imprinted babies seem the most comfortable being around people from the start AND that the breeder allows MANY different people to handle the babies. Some may not like it but I think it really helps the babies adjust to the "forever" home easier.

Thanks for the fast reply. I'm hoping to talk to the breeder sometime next week and hopefully stop by for a visit. I liked the fact that it was close by (only a couple miles) so that way i can make frequent trips to interact with the babies. I have a couple other breeders i've been in contact with and they all seem very knowledgeable so we'll see I guess! I'm starting to get really excited though! Thanks again for the response!

I don't think it would make a difference in the baby, as long as they're hand fed. I've heard that wild caught breeders will breed much more and are usually better parents than domestically raised breeders. This is probably why her breeders are wild caught.

From what I have read about AG's, wild caught are often less prone to feather plucking and can make wonderful pets...so from this I would think that it would not matter at all if they were the parents, in fact they might actually make better parents. I think that if you can go visit the baby often then you should be great.
