Question Breath?

Does anyones greys breath smell or I guess it would be their beak? but it has smelled for a couple of days. Didn't know if it was something he ate or if something is wrong. Thanks

Ya, Rowan's breath/beak only smells like whatever she's been eating. I'm not a fan of pellet breath right in my face lol

I think bad breath is normal. My wife describes the smell as "dirty socks." I've encountered it in more than one bird so I don't think it's a problem. Maybe just a result what they've been eating.

Lol, maybe birds get "morning breath" like people do.

All my birds get cinnamon sticks to chew to avoid this. Nobody can resist the smell of cinnamon

I've not ever smelled what I'd consider to be a smelly beak or breath. However, they do have their own smells, between the two of them (my eclectus and grey).

I read this, and had to go see if Izzy's breath smelled bad lol. I went over, coaxed his beak open and sniffed. He reared back, bug-eyed me, cocked his head and gave me the 'what the...?' noise. I thanked him and went along my business (btw, he smells like pellets lol). My Mom (his person) came in, asked him for a kiss, he opened his beak and engulfed her nose and made sniffing sounds! LOL I almost wet myself laughing. Now, in this short amount of time, just smelling his breath ONCE, he has repeated the action about 200 times to my Mom. Cracks me up!
