i'm also wanting to know if they get stress... and then the stress is resolved do those stress bars stay on the feathers till they are molted?

any info would be great

i dont even know if ajax is stress or not hes been his normal self for a long time
very vocal and LOUD.. usually if hes stress he stays very quiet

where he has the stress bars on his wingfeathers...are they underneath the wing? on the darker feathers? if so, it might be a build up of dander and not stress bars. Emma has them too, and I could wipe them off.

ok so since the lines i see on his feathers are quite faint
its hard to take a pic of it

here are several pics
amazingly the blurry pic shows it the best compared to the clear ones

nope, not stress bars. thats a build up of dust. Stress bars are a complete line in a feather, void of any coloring. it usually goes across the whole feather, and the texture is differnt. Kinda like when we get a scar.
Stress bars are just that...from Stress, Trama or incorrect nutrition can play a part as well.

not to worry. Ajax looks good
