I just had to share this!

For the last few weeks, we've been discussing Lilly with Izzy to get him used to the idea of another Grey in our lives. We printed off a picture of her and tell him Lilly's coming in "x" many days.

So a few days ago, he started to walk over to the picture, look up at us and ask "How many days?" LOL Now it's every few hours... "How many days?" "How many days?"

He also will look at the picture and go "Awwww" and make a squeaky kissing sound.

Izzy's a goof.

She's a 'same day lay' egg pull and incubator hatched and has been a single clutch and raised baby with no others in the nursery, so she's effectively been quarantined since birth lol. No mixing of pets or breeders or babies at all. The breeder, my friend, has a great sanitation standard for her program. Anyone else and I'd still quarantine her, but my friend is spot on. She's also been vet checked and tested 3 times so far throughout her weaning, and she's squeaky clean and healthy.

Not that we'll shove Izzy at her, especially since she doesn't have any outside bird associations, but she doesn't have to get The Room. ...Though, I like 'The Room', it has a television and a comfy chair. I wish I could be in quarantine for a while... Me, the T.V. a Mai Tai... a cabana boy named Carlos... /whistles

Does Carlos have a brother? Can the room fit two? I will donate a loveseat or sofa-sleeper to replace the chair! And I can bring over 1000 dvd movies.

Carlos, of course, has as many brothers as we require, and a cousin named Sven who's an aspiring actor who does massage while waiting for his big break. /nods

hehe

One of the ladies in our bird club has a funny "Grey Story":

She was doing some housework on the fly one day, and every time she walked through the doorway to the room her Grey was on his playstand in... he said "What's that?"

As this is a favorite new game of his (like a three year old asking "Why?"), and she was in an awful hurry... she took little notice.

After about the 4th or 5th time though, she looked at him exasperatingly. He had his head cocked and was clearly looking up.

She followed his line of vision, and realized there was a large, fat, hairy arachnid upon the ceiling.

"Oh!" she said, "That's a spider!"

The bird looked at her. He looked at the spider. He cocked his head the other way and asked the spider ever so politely, "Oh!... spider... ... Whatcha doing?"

Needless to say... his Momma had riots disease!
