We're soooo excited!!!

Today we bought a new baby Congo African Grey!!! We got bit by the bird bug after getting a cockatiel a couple of months ago. Our new baby is still at Omars for another 4 wks or so. We can't wait to go back and visit tomorrow. The hard part now is thinking of a name. We're planning on getting "him" sexed and then we'll probably name him then. We're thinking it's a boy b/c he's big and heavy compared to the other greys that were with him. He is so sweet. He fell asleep on my husband while he was petting him.
We're going to visit him often to keep him socialized. Please send me any other advise you can give us to help us with our new addition.

Congratulations! How fun! I got my CAG when he was about that age, of course I didn't bring him home then either. I did go in every other day or so just to visit with him. I used to spend hours at a time with him. I think it really helped with the transition to my home from the bird store. He was so used to me that he was totally at ease when I got him home and he looked to me for approval of everything he did. You are in store for such a fun experience. It is SOOOO much fun raising a baby. All the "firsts" you'll have together will be a great adventure. Keep us posted so we all know how you're doing. Again, congratulations. Enjoy your new fid. Don't forget all the support you'll get here. There are so very many great people who have loads of experience. I know they've helped me.

just wanted to say congratulations on your new baby cag........ my cag was hatched 28th feb 08 and was very very cuddly he/she seems to be all cuddly most of the time but i think maybe the toddler stage has arrived with a vengeance? and can be quite stubborn too and a tad nippy when he feels like it lol but im sure your baby will be fine as ozzie is now all babies have tantrums after all huh? x kindest regards Michka'x
