Thanks Monica and Lisa B for both your replys...yes Monica Charlie had a clean bill of health from the Avian Vet. I have noted all your comments and really can't see how I can improve on Charlie's lifestyle to limit his plucking as I am doing everything possible :(
Lisa I don't use the mustard anymore as it wasn't making any difference at all.I think it was worth a try as some people have had improvements with it but I have listened to what you say and I thank you.Its Red Palm Oil now and Aloe Vera misting for a few months to see if there is any improvement. Will keep you posted.
Thanks again

Ok here is a quick update on Charlie.I have been using Red Palm Oil with amazing results. I was first recommended to use it by member "babypiggy" and I thank her very much for this advise she has been very helpful through pm as well. I have been using the oil for about 3 weeks now and really I can see a dramatic improvement in Charlie's feather plucking. He had all down the front of his chest plucked almost bare and I can say about 50% of it has regrown without him plucking at it. I am sooooooo pleased. Charlie took to the oil very well I was quite surprised. I mixed it in with a treat for him. I gave it to him a few times just automatically for him to get used to it, then every morning I would go to his cage with his treat which I added the oil to and say...let me see have you plucked???? If he had plucked I would say naughty boy no treat and I wouldn't give it to him... If he hadn't plucked I would tell him he was a good boy and let him know he was being rewarded they are so intelligent...I swear he understands. He is getting to know that if he don't pluck he gets his reward. I hope that in a few more weeks Charlie will stop his plucking completly...will keep you informed
