Congratulations on your new baby!!! I brought my TAG home at about 4 mos old, named him/her Martini. What a joy, every minute, every day, I'm fortunate in that I work from home, so we are together more often than not.
Even though I have been an animal person all my life (having been friends with everything from Canadian Geese to raccoons and tons in between), I still underestimated the impact Martini would have on my life. Enjoy your new TAG, whatever you choose to name him/her! And please continue to post pictures and updates on your new baby! Jac |

Wow, didn't expect to get so many thoughtful posts! I really enjoyed the Flander's Field poem. That indeed is a great name. I don't think I've heard the poem since I was in grade school.
We've decided on Jupiter as the name for our TAG, we'll know soon if he likes it or not. My wife said she's going to call him her little Ju Ju Bee..... oh man! I just took him back to the pet store I purchased him from. They asked that I bring him back in a week to take a look at him. They were glad to see that he was gaining weight, and happy! I like the irony in the name Jupiter, since he will never really Lord over the sky :) Thanks for all the posts. By the way, I was asked what kind of cage I bought. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Great Names
If I get pooped on alot, does that mean he loves me?
![]() I'm certain I'll do the same if it turns our Jupiter is a she, I'll keep the name. Just like Gonzo. Maybe just shorten it to 'Jupi', lol. It's so cute when the try to scratch the side of the cage away to get out. Jupiter will do it for 20-30 minutes non stop. He also likes to make one heck of a racket to try to get me to let him out of the cage. I wait until he's completely quiet, then I get up and let him out. I can't let him have his way (But the entire time, I really just want to let him out).

Cage Setup
Someone had asked about which cage I went with. This is how Jupiter's cage is setup now, I had thought about an open play top, but will purchase a separate play area instead. The top face, flips down.

Jupiter I love that name. Awesome cage and set up. Echo's cage has a door at the top similar to yours and I wouldn't have a cage without that. He spends a lot of time on it and at supper time that's where I put his bowl of veggies.

Just got home from work and seen your post. Sorry I haven't been able to respond lori. I'll get out the measuring tape tomorrow and measure it for you. I have to work again tomorrow so it'll be in the evening. Hope that's okay.
