New TAG

Just got this wonderful bundle of Joy 5 days ago. I'm still trying to come up with a name.

We've been thinking,
Noche (Night)
Jupiter (God of the Sky)
Pluto (God of the Underworld)
Babel (as in 'Tower of Babel')
Plato (Greek Philosopher)

Trying to be somewhat original, with a name that denotes intelligence or his/her gray appearance. He/she has not been DNA sexed yet, so I was trying to come up with names that were unisex. Can't wait till I have a human child, this is hard. It was never so difficult for my other animals.

Any suggestions?

Welcome and congrats on your new TAG I have a DNA male and he is the love of my life! I love all of your names so I can't help you. As you can see I am not to inventive when it comes to names.

He's so sweet!!! We're bringing home our new CAG in about 3-4 weeks and I'm going crazy not having him here. We visit him every day, so that helps. We, too, are trying to figure out a name. We're having him sexed, so we should know this week. Right now we're thinking of the name Emani...it means Faith in the African language. We're also trying to figure out what cage to get him. What cage did you get your TAG?

Send a message via AIM to Tom Lawless
I think a good name for either of the birds would be 'Tom'.

I'm surprised no one has recommended it yet.

Don't worry about the DNA tests.

I really like the name you are thinking about Lori, Emani is short and cute... and the meaning is great. I feel excited for you about getting your CAG, the anticipation must be killing you.

No one had suggested 'Tom' (except Tom) to us as a name up until now, but a few of course, had suggested 'Charlie' ! LOL

It's just really hard when you have 6 people in the family with 6 different opinions on what the name should be!!!!! I like Emani, too, but the kids like Charlie for a boy and if it's a girl, they like Annie of Sophie. We'll figure out something soon. Keep us posted as to what you call your little one.

There's just my wife and I here, it's funny how everytime I come up with something I really like, she isn't so sure, and vice-versa LOL

I like Emani, over Carlie, Annie, or Sophie. And it works out for both male and female. Be persistant and maybe you'll win everyone over

Oh I love Noche! Would go for either a girl or boy.

Poppy is a DNA'd male, but we named him prior to knowing. We named him Poppy in memory of our previous tag, Paris, & the idea came from:

" In Flanders Field"

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

(and of course the little red tail - poppy)
