Hi there and Welcome to the world of Grey ownership. Oh ... lol ... and to this board as well.
I shall try to answer as best I can, and never ever think that a question is too stupid to ask, as there is NO such thing. Ok? 1) Pretty much from the get go, they can bathe, but I would wait until they are fully weaned before I stick them in the shower. Others might have some more concrete answers for you on this one than I can give you. 2) From my understanding they can change anywhere from 6 months to a little over a year till they get the yellow coloring in their eyes. 3) As soon as they are able to make any kind of noise at all, they are capable of whistling ... and talking for that matter. But being capable and actually doing it ... that depends on the individual bird and possibly also how it was raised. Some folks' CAGs never ever talk or whistle and they have had them for years and years. Others on the other hand can't get them to shut up once they start. So, you see, it all really depends on the individual bird. Hope I was able to help you a little bit for the time being in the hopes that someone else will jump in here and maybe give you even better advice than I am capable of. And another hearty Welcome to the board. ![]()

Hi Maya, unfortunately I don't really have any answers to your question other than what Graeh has already said. But I (also) want to welcome you to the wonderful world of Greys and to the wonderful world of Bird Board.
You might want to go to where you got your bird from and ask them how old it is. (if that is possible) |

Welcome:
Graehstone has given you all the correct information. All birds vary, certainly, but as a rule, this is correct. By the way, you can sex a CAG by simply looking under its red tail feathers. If you notice siver tips on the underside, you have a female. THE OUTLAW
