WARNING - Fruits & Veggies

I thought this would be a good list for everyone who buys fruits and veg for their fids....

and that's basiclly 100% of us here

Environmental Working Group || foodnews.org

it's a list of which foods contain the most pestisides..
so beware. and it's good to refer to this list when u are buying non-organic for your fid

cheers

Ha ha! Cheers! 31st so Friday

I'm wondering what Mojo and Shinda will make of the doorbell ringing if we get lots of trick or treaters! I'm not nice though, I ignore the doorbell that night!

More worried about how they'll react to all the fireworks which are bound to go off on Saturday (Guy Fawkes night is November the 5th so this Saturday is probably when lost organised displays will take place). Stupid tradition, I detest fireworks with all the problems they cause wildlife and pets

I do like Christmas though so I'm not a complete bore! Mind you, I won't be having a tree or decorations this year, can you imagine the fun two flying CAGs would have?!

Sorry for hijacking your thread BP!

I too apologise for the hijacking.

Pippy;
Oh... 31st, same as the States. Thought I read that Britain used the last Thursday of the month.
Take a pic of some kiddies if you get the chance... I would love to see some of the costumes there that we may not see as much of here. We are inundated with store bought ones of popular American cartoons and pop idols usually.

Back on Topic...

I was gonna start a new thread, but as we are discussing produce...
Anyone here heard of Grapples?
I Grappled with my birds last night!
They look like apples... but smell and taste like concord grapes! They are cool!

Grapples freak me out LOL its just weird. It looks like an apple but taste like a grape.

O and Pippy how could you not answer your door!?!?!?!?!?!

If I got trick or treaters I would dress up and scare them hehehehehehehehehehe and of course give out awesome candy.

O and sadly the things that are bad for them are low in pesticides according to that list.

Unfortunately nowadays it's not inconceivable you're going to be egged by little thugs on Halloween, what's happening to kids??

Also, in my line of work (I'm a community care assistant, I look after elderly and/or disabled people in their own homes) I know how many people fear kids/teenagers knocking on their doors after dark so trick or treating isn't something I'm an advocate of

I'm not a child-hater though, I've got two of my own but they're 17 and 19 now

Anyway, back on topic! I've just peeled a pomegranate for my babies, let the carnage commence!
