Feeling so sad.

Hi Guys, I am sure I am not the only one to have felt like I do this morning. My husband and I are leaving to go to South Africa tomorrow for a weeks visit. I am going to be boarding my CAG with friends and they are coming to fetch him this morning. I am feeling so tearful having to leave him for a week. I know he is going to be in good hands as my friends have parrots they had to leave in the USA when they relocated here. They are looking forward to having him stay with them but I am feeling terribly tearful. The reason I am sending him to them today and not tomorrow is that should he become too stressed I can still go around tomorrow just to show him I am still around. Whether thats a good or bad thing I don't know! Just the thought of him being unhappy makes me sad. My husband is worried that I will be phoning every 5 minutes to check if he is doing ok and not enjoy my holiday. I never thought this would be so stressful, what am I going to do if ever anything bad happened to him? We haven't left for our trip yet and I am already looking forward to coming home. Amazing how attached one becomes to ones pets. Take care all.

Don't feel sad. I've been away from home for 3 weeks now, and have one more to go (I've been away for training). Fortunately, my husband has been taking care of all three (instead of having to board them). Even so, I still was heart broken leaving. Just keep thinking everything will be fine and enjoy your holiday! I'm sure you've deserved the time off!

I understand how you feel as well. I miss my guys terribly when I go anywhere. When visiting my sister in Florida, I often go sit at the golden cockatoo to get my grey fix. I'm there pretty much every day. I also called home each night to see how they were. I cant wait to get home to see them!
enjoy your trip, and if your friend needs us, ya know where to find us!
