Giant cardboard tubes

Have any of you got those big cardboard tubes designed for rabbits/rodents in your bird's cages?

I've had one in Mojo and Shinda's cage for weeks and have never seen either of them in it. That may well be because I spend most of my time in the dining room with them on their playstand (or wherever they happen to be!).

Well this evening I decided to keep them in the lounge with the tv on quite loud just in case the fireworks scared them (they didn't as it happens). I was in there with them.

Eventually they both went inside and put themselves to bed. About half an hour later I looked in and had a fright as Shinda was nowhere to be seen!

Then I spotted him!

It was lovely to see one of them using it at last! It may be that they often go in it and I've never seen them in there because we spend most of our time together with them out and in the other room with me.

I have a couple of tubes shorter than those in the lovebird cage,, thought they would just chew on them,, nope, they play and sleep in them just like the Grey!

Those are pieces of tubes inside carpet rolls and such. Made the same way. I always worried about the glue that is used in them. My buckeye likes to carry papertowel tubes around... but the glue?

Mr. LOVES paper towel rolls but I also worry about the glue on them. Hmmm I might have to get him one of those big rolls although he wont be able to chase it so not sure if that would work LOL. I wonder if he would actually hang out in one. Where do you find them at like pet stores or something?

Shinda was still in the tube this morning so he obviously slept in there! He definitely prefers to perch on a flat surface.

I bought it from Pets At Home...

Jumbo Chube for Small Pets by Critters Choice-Chews-Pets at Home: Buy Pet Supplies from our Online UK Pet Shop

I'm sure your pet shops in the US would sell them too. I'd hope that as they're for animals that they are safe.
