Begging noises

When Mojo and Shinda beg they usually do so VERY loudly with lots of wing-lifting and squawking involved!

They were both sitting on my arm/shoulder earlier and Shinda started making a noise I've not heard before. It was as though he was begging with a very sore throat. It actually worried me as he didn't sound quite right

I videoed it on my mobile so please excuse the poor picture quality but please can someone have a listen and tell me if their birds make this very quiet, subdued noise too?

Yes he's acting perfectly normal now, flying around and making lots of noise! He was definitely begging at the time so maybe it was just his version of a quiet squawk!

Well considering how much he loves his food that's rather appropriate!

I have heard Mr. make a similar noise not as scratchy but similar. He doesn't do it when begging though he shoves his face on either mine or the hubbys face and does it while starring in our eyes. Yea he is special.

I think it sounds normal, just one of the many weird random noises they make LOL.

Ah, so Shinda could be making 'I love you' noises then?

After he made those noises (he carried on like that for about fifteen minutes) he climbed down onto my chest, made the noise a few more times then fell asleep in his favourite place, wedged firmly under my chin!
It's nice and warm there and he snuggles as close as he can get!
