Table Top Stand

hi everyone,
late last week i decided to look into ideas on a tabletop stand for ajax...

the main reason is that whenever he eats dinner with us
he tends to try to take my fork away from me and i have to watch him carefully as he doens't chew on the fork as it has alrady been in my mouth

also he doens't end up stepping in my food while i'm eating it...

also i can bring the tabletop stand wiht me if we go visiting..
especially since the holidays are comming up soon
i will most likely bring him to some of the invites
(i feel bad for leavinghim home)

this is made of pvc and 2 ss screws
measurements: 9" wide X 16" long X 12" tall

i finished it on friday and in an hour

i used it yesterday (sat) while having lunch
and it seems to work wonderfully as i didn't have a parrot in the middle of my plate. before we use to have ajax at the table often but not every dinner because i didn't want to also be keeping an eye on hims while he waddled around the dinning room table

anywho i hope it works for awhile before he figures out how to climb down it and run around the dinning room table like a maniac

You should probably wrap the top perch with some vet wrap so that he can feel more secure having a better grip.

I like it and sure looks easy and simple to complete! (May not be though hehe)

Nice job!

Looks good! I agree about vet wrap to make it more secure for Ajax. I have one for Ziggy and the actual perch is rough to help control nail and beak length (I took the easy way out and bought it).

What about wrapping it in twine or something then? Or maybe just scour the sides of the pipe, so that it is rough?

It looks great, the only thing that would drive me insane would be to clean those food bowls. Or do you have an crock insert for them?
