i dont have ajax insured as it is not available in canada

but we do have our dog insured
and to be honest
i personally wouldn't insure ajax if i had the choice

thing is it's like pulling teeth to get the company to accept your claim

it's just better to put money aside every month instead
to cover any vet bills

just my 2 cents

ps- a lot of insurance companies will say birds are prone to this that bla bla bla and will not cover it in their insurance etc etc

Are you talking about health insurance or putting them on your homeowners insurance?

Mine are insured. I know you're in the UK so if you decide to insure I highly recommend you choose Golden Valley...

Golden Valley Insurance

You'll find praise for them on any UK parrot forum, they pay out with the minimum of fuss apparently.

You'll find all the details you need on their website, just give them a ring for answers to further questions

i have not looked into insurance for birds so I do not know but I did look into for my dog a while ago and it is a pain. I called my vet and asked who most of their clients go through and they told me that it is a hassle to get them to cover anything and that you have to pay upfront and they reimburse if they feel its necessary.

If it's homeowners insurance, mine say they don't cover my birds. They do however, cover the cages, toys, perches, even food. Crazy, right?
I have checked into insurance for health but haven't found any for birds yet.
