AviCalm and Featherific Update

I said I would post when I felt I had definitive results from Avicalm and Featherific (by AviTech)... in comparison to Pluck No More... a few people wanted to know.

I still believe in Pluck No More. It worked for me. It worked very quickly. But it is very expensive. $35US + S&H for 1 week supply

AviTech's products are the way to go, in my opinion. They take a little longer to see results (I think it's a "cumulative" thing), but they are ALOT cheaper. It's a little more work than the PNM, since you are dealing with 2 powders, not just a capful of liquid in a water dish... but the results are the same. $10US incl S&H for 1 week supply (I bought in bulk, got 3 months supply of BOTH products for $125US including S&H to Canada)

The Featherific has kicked Mackie's feathers into high gear... growing fast. He still looks a little "ruddy" in areas but I can see growth there too. The AviCalm has done it's thing too. He's alot mellower. Couple that with the changes we made in his daily routine and Mackie has been doing really well... he's been on an even keel for 5 days straight and he hasn't sworn a single word in 5 days either!

We're pretty happy here....

Thank you for sharing. I have also bought the product, but have been lazy with actually opening the container

I just started using Avicalm and Feather-whatever on my female maroon belly conure who was picking her feathers out. I think jealousy over the new jenday conure caused her to be a terror - aggressive, biting and picking her fathers out. I brought a jar of Avicalm and Feather-terrific on recommendation and I swear it already working on her. She ate the powder straight from the jar without having to trick her into eating it. I sprinkle it on her food (pellets) and she devoured it. I put the two brids together for afternoon snacks and Lucy didn't attack or bully the jenday, Ernie. She was talking and sweet without trying to kill Ernie! I know it's one day but I swear I could see the Avicalm working! I keep everyone posted on Lucy's progression!

Avi Calm results

I have been using Avi Calm for a little over 2 months along with Featheriffic. I agree with you Avi Calm vs. Pluck No More. I spent over $500 on Pluck No More and my African Grey showed some improvement but still plucked the down. I simply could not afford the product.

I tried Avi Calm and there is definite improvement. She is almost fully feathered now, with just some plucking on the wings. The featheriffic is great too as her feather color looks much better and she is so much fuller. I am definitely getting results with this product. I can also afford it. I put the Avi Calm along with the Featheriffic on her soft food in the morning along with some peanut butter. I also put 1/4 teaspoon in her water twice a day. It is working and I am pleased. Her personality is just the same as it always was. No changes there.
