Help with complaining neighbor

Hi grey lovers,

Recently we had a new neighbor move into our condo building and he has been complaining of the constant whistling from our ACG. Both my wife and I go to work and she comes home around 3 so we dont know how loud she gets. Is there anyone out there who has had the same problem of a complaining neighbor? Any advice would be appreciated.

more fabric in your home to dampen the sound?

Some drapes hung on their adjacent wall?

You must have very thin walls? Tell your neighbor to get a day hobby.

Can you move the cage to a different room? Maybe a room on the other side of where the neighbor is? Maybe if you leave a radio on while you're gone (assuming you don't already) she won't whistle as much because she has something to listen to. Well, or she may whistle louder...

Drapes was a great suggestion, too. Hang them around her cage to help dampen the whistling. I can see constant squawking annoying the neighbors, but whistling?

hum, you must have a crappy neighbor. Lukily mine have all been great, and enjoy the noises from the greys. However, If someone should complain about noise, I am the type to show them noise. I would turn the radio up a bit more and let them complain about your music instead. then you have someone who is just causing trouble and complains about everything. See who's side wins then.

but in reality, material will muffle the noise, and move the bird to the farthest spot, put the radio nearest..and have at it. As long as the music isnt loud enough to bother the bird in any way.

greys arent overly noisy..not compared to may other species...so I would say this neighbor is just being an A**

and yes, for anyone who may question me, I do believe that no one's going to tell me what to do on the piece of land I own and pay taxes on.

Maybe a invitation to the neighbor to come over to meet your Greys and spend some time with them. There are many parrots that have had to be rehomed because of neighbors complaining so you might want to deal with the situation with a good attitude.

Some neighbours are just too much. Cannot even enjoy the harmony of being living together.

They are perverts !!!

My parrots were alwys quieter than my neighbors kids and go to bed earlier too. I swear they put them in metal hamster balls around 1am and roll them around to get them to sleep. I am always worried that they will wake up my birds!

Sorry to hear that they are complaining. :( We are lucky, our neighbors have birds! They like to communicate with ours. lol
