Well, it's been a month now and after the blood feather incident when he hid under the bed for 4 hours things got a lot worse. He wouldn't even let me change his food and water without freaking out but was still as talkative as ever. I started leaving his cage open and he will come out on his own as long as I'm not in the room and then will go back in on his own but will take treats out of my hand when out of the cage, just not in it.
It was funny though cuz he would give me kisses through the cage bars but ONLY at night and ONLY if the light was off and only the TV was on...until yesterday! I was in the room putting some things away and he didn't run when I was standing right next to the cage so I leaned over and asked if I could have a kiss. He looked at me, thought about it and gave me a kiss! In the middle of the day

He gave me one this morning too so things are looking up.
He is also learning new things like crazy. I knew they were smart but he will pick things up after hearing them one time so me and BF have been watching what we say around him, lol.
He will let me sit by the cage with the cage door open as long as I don't try and put my hand anywhere near it and I can tell it makes him a little nervous but he will settle down after a few minutes. He loves watching the dog run after her toys so I sit by the cage every night and play with her while we talk.
I know it's going to be a long process but I'm so happy with the progress in only a month, especially after having to force him out. Also, his tail seems to be looking a little better. He has a couple new tail feathers in that he has left alone and hopefully he keeps them that way.
