Poor Arthur
The hahns girls were going right off yesterday. Personally I didn't find it annoying but apparently Arthur did. He started off with the odd "enough". Of course the girls took no notice. Within a few minutes I get the feeling he'd had it with them. Started yelling at them hysterically "enough, enough, enough, enough". Thought, oh oh, Arthur has completely lost it with them now. The poor boy, he tries to keep control of the bird room but the reality is he has no chance.

LOL!! Greys are so hysterical. Poor guy. When the aras get going, Rayne screams at the top of her lungs. I don't think she likes all the noise, either.

I actually really feel for him atm. He used to bully Bogey (YCA) whenever he had a chance, knocking off cages, that kinda thing. Well, Bogey finally grew some balls last week and charged at Arthur when he landed on Bogey's cage. Knocked Arthur off who just looked shocked. I felt sorry for the grey boy but was so pleased to see Bogey standing up for himself at last. I stayed out of that little squabble.

I feel for Arthur. I only have one Hahns girl and her little yelpy shouts are far worse than the cockatoo's noises.

I crack up when I think back to my research on Hahns Macaws that said they are good for apartment life. That Dave can really make himself heard, and often does. I try not to react because of what I read about drama rewards actually be pleasing for them but I must have reacted once because, instead of saying 'enough', I hear Bing saying, "Stop it. Stop it Dave!" (Of course he also imitates Dave's scream and then yells at him so sometimes poor Dave is taking the blame for a scream he didn't make...sneaky Grey).

That is hilarious! Sometimes when one of my greys is shrieking (usually at night) the other one will say "Quiet!" or "knock it off!" which in turn makes me LOL because I'm still not used to hearing them speak in context.
