We're home... with the newest 'conure'

Pics posted on the rescue section. She BURPS!! It's really grossing me out. Wife's trying to get her to say 'excuse me', LOL! She is watching 'Clifford the Big Red Dog' right now... she's such a doll. Breaks my heart to look her in the eyes... I really feel like the human race has let her down and done her SO wrong. She will never be in that position again... over my dead body. Literally.

She has been named "Polly" which I feel is undignified. I want to rename her. I'd like to name her Ziva. She knows Polly, but talks like a man! Anyone have any name suggestions which may be African? Would it really hurt her to change her name? She's young...6.... I'd think she'd just learn it, since they can learn new words their entire life. She is talking, BTW....

umm...maybe if you named her "Molly" she would learn to respond to it easier than a completely new name.

We went through those possibilities. We had a cat named Molly... she was living with my mother in law lately, and recently passed. We couldn't come up with anything else that sounded kind of it.

lol I think it's because you don't ask every single person out there to name their bird Holly!
