I have noticed with greys that you can be sweet and never yell, and repeat nice things over and over to them, but they will choose what they say. Whenever the dogs hear a doorbell on the tv they bark and carry on, we dont even have a doorbell, and never have, but my mom has one. I tell them to stop, sit, stay, shut up, and they just wont get it that its not real. Well the CAG Henry has picked it up lol. He says stay, sit and shut up. and he uses them in correct context, ie, at the dogs. However, 2 times during the day he has his chatty times, and sometimes he sticks to one or 2 phrases he likes that day, and sometimes he runs through all his words. He will say stop it and shut up, even though those are phrases used at the dogs. he also says Thrally wanna go outside, step up and any number of unrelated words. This guy might have just said it once, maybe not even to the bird, and the bird repeated it. If you want a grey to learn a word, shout it lol, they love to "party" and pick up shouts. Henry loves to say "what did you do?" When the dogs break something, that's what I say. Another fave "Knock it off!"

Tui's vids are among my favorites! Although she DOES have a rough mouth... if you watch enough of the vids, you'll find that this guy really, really loved this parrot. The vid he made after he lost her just put my stomach in knots. I can't watch it without crying.

LOL floorcandy, my dogs do the same thing. Or if someone knocks on TV they immediately run to the door thinking we have company!!


Love the clips!! & yes, like a poster said, birds will pick and choose what they say, sometimes its not the best vocab choices but what can ya do!!

OH no he lost her?... How?..... I saw one of his clips where he was giving her these rasberry kisses on her head and she just LET HIM, it so SO cute, she didn't care!!.... BUT then after he stepped out of the picture she very clearly said C*NT!.......I almost wet myself laughing!!!!!

So far the funniest thing I can get Mo to do is the farting noises, which he receives BIG fanfare for....LOL..... I tried to get him to howl like a dog be mixed it with another noise, I think the kissing sound and it sounded ungodly freakish!

DEF one of my favorite spots on the net these days,.... silly birds.... I also saw one cry and boo hoo..... it was So realistic it was creepy!

He had her outside.. and she flew... and a gust caught her. He thought she was so 'bonded' that she'd come back. She must have gotten turned around. He looked for her for a long time. He didn't find her. He made a heartbroken vid about his loss... to warn others that they shouldn't count on their 'bond' to keep their bird from flying off and becoming lost. He returned to his home country after he couldn't find her. He was staying here I guess because they wouldn't allow him to bring her with him. It was just horrible. It's still on there, just search for the Tui vids.

I think I have seen all of those videos of Tui! An I watched the one he made after he lost her I cried!! It is so sad!!! She was so funny!
